  • What should I wear?
  • What should I wear?
Wear clothes that are comfortable and make you feel good. Steer clear of items that are prone to wrinkling or clinging. Keep in mind when choosing your outfit that you may be sitting down, lying down, jumping, and walking. Stay away from clothes that have logos or busy patterns, or are too matchy-matchy. If it is a family session, wearing colors that are coordinated and with one or two people wearing a simple pattern would be perfect.

  • Do I have to sign a model release?
I ask for a model release for every person in the session. This allows me to use your photographs for marketing purposes. My business relies on being able show prospective customers the photographs I take so that they can see my style and skills to make sure I am a good fit for them.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY SHOOT OR ARRIVE LATE?
  • What happens if I have to cancel my shoot or arrive late?
No worries if you have to cancel - as long as you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the session, your deposit will be credited towards your next scheduled session. Arriving late is a little trickier. As a natural light photographer, I schedule sessions relative to sunset to shoot with optimal lighting. Once the sun sets, we can no longer shoot. Consequently, if you arrive to your session even 10-15 minutes late, it will reduce the length of your session. If you are 30 minutes late, we will have to reschedule for my earliest available date, and there will be a $25 rescheduling fee.
  • What happens if you get sick or injured or have an emergency and can’t photograph me?
  • What happens if you get sick or injured or have an emergency and can’t photograph me?
I will contact you as soon as possible to arrange another suitable date and time. If this is a timely shoot that needs to be completed by a specific date, I will do my very best to find another photographer that can take my place.
  • Can you shoot in rain or inclement weather?
  • CAN YOU SHOOT IN RAIN OR INCLEMENT WEATHER?
I prefer not to shoot in rain or inclement weather as I want to make sure you look and feel your best. Also, I do not want to damage my equipment. If the session needs to be rescheduled due to weather, I will reschedule for my next available date.
  • Do you deliver raw files, and am I able to alter the photos I receive?
  • Do you deliver raw files, and am I able to alter the photos I receive?
I don’t give out raw files as it does not represent the highest quality images for which I strive. The photos may not be altered from their original state as delivered by me – this includes but is not limited to adding filters and changing to black and white mode.
  • What’s the difference between edited images and retouched images?
  • What’s the difference between edited images and retouched images?
Edited images refers to images that have color correction, enhancements, exposure correction, shadow and highlight recovery, lens correction, and a little artistic flare. Retouched images refers to more skilled editing work such as removing blemishes, acne, skin smoothing, and deleting objects in the image. Professional Editing is included with all packages. Limited Retouching is done on Headshots and Senior photos. Retouching can be done to any photo for an additional cost.
